The Unity Quilt Project seeks to educate and inspire Pennsylvanians about the richness and diversity of their shared democratic heritage. By involving residents of all ages and backgrounds, the project will foster intergenerational dialogue, creative collaboration, and civic pride. The finished quilt will serve as a traveling educational exhibit, sparking conversations about democracy in schools, libraries, and community centers statewide. Most importantly, the project will leave a powerful visual legacy of how unity, participation, and local action sustain and strengthen American democracy.
We invite every county and city in Pennsylvania to join in making history. The Unity Quilt Project offers a unique opportunity to celebrate our differences, honor our shared values, and create something beautiful together. Let us collectively mark 250 years of American democracy by stitching our stories, hopes, and dreams into one extraordinary quilt. To participate or learn more, please see Get Involved.
